I had been looking everywhere for a new cotton blanket to replace an old one that started shredding at the corners after washing and decided to take a chance on this one, not knowing if it would be too thin or too thick. Local stores didn't have anything suitable and it's hard making a decision based on a picture when you can't feel the blanket..... The fact that it is organic cotton was a plus. We have had it on our bed for about a week and it is perfect! There is a nice texture to it and it seems to be the perfect weight. It's not easy to find a blanket that works well for Florida weather and for a couple with one who tends to be cold at night and the other tends to be warm. I think it's going to last for a while and stand up to repeated washing and I'm glad I chose this blanket for us! Read Less

A: Hi Kerry. In regard to your inquiry for the Organic Cotton Blanket, these blankets are all very soft and stay soft. I truly think you will be happy with either of these blankets. I personally have both of them. The Organic Cotton Blanket is very soft, the Gossamer Blanket is soft as well, more light & airy. Depends on your personal preference.
