It is very sturdy and stiff, doesn't drape around your body when your under it. The biggest drawback is the cotton top layer pilled significantly after one wash and lost its color. Washed in cold as recommended on care label, and air dried since was too large (king size) to dry properly in the drier. The matching pillow shams do NOT have this issue. Shams still have their shine and deep olive color.

We recommend to launder the quilt following our care instructions in a large capacity front loading washing machine without an agitator. You mentioned that your dryer is too small to dry the quilt, if your washing machine is too small it can affect how the quilt is laundered. Additionally, we recommend that the quilt is dried in a large capacity dryer.
