It's filled with hypoallergenic LoftAIRE™ Ultra Down Alternative Fill, a premium GRS recycled synthetic fill that captures down's incomparable softness for those with sensitivities. As a result, the Medium density felt more like firm, and was almost impossible to "dent". So I exchanged for a Soft pillow. The soft pillow offers better support for my needs; the primaloft filler doesn't clump, appears evenly dispersed.

I love your pillows. Overall the quality is very nice and I’ve ordered from you several times over the years. However, this time, the queen size firm pillow was way way too hard! I could not even get a queen sized pillowcase around the pillow in fact, a king size pillowcase would not fit over the very firm and big queen size pillow. I ended up giving that pillow away and re-ordering a soft pillow, which arrived and was actually very firm… I think you need to reevaluate your firmness levels because the soft is firm and the firm was hard and too big and round. the fact that it didn’t fit a pillowcase should be a red flag within your company that something needs to be done about your quality control. I do appreciate the fact that you have down alternative pillows.

These pillows are AWFUL - not sure they even deserve 1 star! I've ordered the gusseted down alternative premium pillows several times over the past decade, and it was time to buy a new pillow for my husband. I bought one firm, one medium, and one soft so he could choose which worked best for him. NONE of these pillows fit into the gusseted pillow protectors that I bought specifically for them - they had to be jammed into the protectors and then my pillowcases like sausages, making them hard as a rock! (Funny thing - the pillow protector DOES fit the gusseted pillow that I had ordered as an "extra" several years ago & just started using!). I don't know what happened to this product, but The Company Store needs to drop this version and go back to the old one, which was great!

If you buy the pillow in firm, be prepared for a really firm pillow. I bought the firm pillow because I like a lot of support but for me this is a little too much of a good thing. I like the style so will probably try the medium firm instead.
